06.08.11

Marc has been in Alliance, Nebraska the past few days for work.  Yes, life is much more dull and lonely with him gone, but I'm not going to write about that.  Instead, I'm going to post about what I've eaten since he's been gone.

Some of this and this...

And a whole lot of this...

In fact, I haven't cooked at all the past couple of days.  Even throwing together a measly PB&J seems like too much work.  Thinking about his made me remember that this is exactly how I ate when I was single--no regular meals, just snacking here and there, occasionally supplemented by takeout food.  And now I understand how I was able to still fit into my skinny jeans without ever exercising before I got married.

Now I'm a good wife who cooks (most of the time) for her husband, which means I eat what I cook as well.  I've recently upgraded to making him a lunch to take to work--something my mom has done everyday for my dad and anyone else living in their home. I lived with them one semester while at BYU and she even packed me a lunch everyday.  We'll see how long my lunch-making lasts.

And no need to worry about whether my snacking the past few days has been sufficient for me and the little boy in my belly.  Although it has just been snacking, it has been in much larger quantities than my single days.

  1. You could come to your Mom's house. We have cereal and crackers, too. No, I don't cook too often any more but it would be great to see you.;-)
