Louisa @ 3 Months

Oh this little girl...

It is a good thing she is so beautiful because she gives her mother much grief.

Really, I can't complain because she does let me sleep at night.  The past two weeks she's slept completely through the night more often than not, and if she does wake up it is only once.  The grief comes in getting her to go to sleep.  Recently, it has been a long, drawn out struggle and something that works one day to soothe her is ineffective the next.

At three months old, Louisa...
...sleeps through the night.
...wears size 1 diapers.
...fits her 0-3 month clothes a little bit better.
...loves to suck her hands.
...no longer takes a pacifier (I hope this is just a stage!).
...still hates driving in the car.  The only way I can get her to stay calm is to sing Primary songs the whole time we're driving.
...laughs when you tickle her neck.
...still sleeps in her bassinet, which is now in our walk-in closet.
...loves watching her older brother.

But even with the bedtime grief, we love this little girl to death!

  1. Cute girl, Marcee! Have you read the baby whisperer? For both Lucy and Nora I've done the "four s's" she talks about in her book to help getting a baby to sleep, and it's really worked for me. Just a thought. Getting baby's to sleep is a pain, and one of the things I dread the most after getting home from the hospital!

    1. I've read a couple of other books with techniques that worked great with Ezra, but never the baby whisperer. But, I looked up the four s's and tried it out tonight. I've already been trying to "set the stage" and we've always swaddled her, so the new technique was the "sitting." I sat there for five minutes and she squirmed and cried the whole time. I thought, "Oh well, I tried," and got up to put her in her crib to let her cry it out. BUT as soon as I stood up she calmed down. I put her in her bed still awake and she did not cry at all. AMAZING! Thank you for sharing! I'm going to have to go buy the book now.

  2. Oh, Marcee, she is absolutely adorable and has changed since Bear Lake! What a darling little smile she has. :-) I am thrilled about the book Becca told you about and that it worked for you tonight. I hope you are 'on to something' for your sake. Love and Miss You!
